Each assignment contains two sets of problems. One is a set of even-numbered problems to be turned in at the beginning of class on the listed due date. The other is a set of odd-numbered problems for additional practice. Although you are not turning the odd-numbered problems in, you will be held responsible for knowing how to solve them, and solving the even-numbered problems alone will be insufficient for many of you to solidify your understanding of the course concepts. If you're not sure if you're doing the even-numbered problems correctly, try similar odd-numbered problems and check your answers in the back of the book. In addition, on REQ (Review, Examples, and Questions) days (most Mondays), I will ask for volunteers to present some of the odd-numbered problems listed. Your willingness to present problems in class will factor into your homework grade.
Be sure to show all work and explain your answers for problems that you turn in. Please staple your assignments and don't forget to write your name on them.
No late homework will be accepted, under any circumstances. If you are going to miss class on a day when homework is due, arrange to hand in your homework early or with a friend. Your lowest homework grade will be dropped.
