General Information
The Math Departmental Undergraduate Group is a group of undergraduate students dedicated to furthering the interests of undergraduates in the mathematics community at Brown. Our fundamental goals are two-fold; first and foremost, to help undergraduates get to know other people involved in the department, and to encourage communication within the department.
Secondly, the DUG seeks to draw more people into mathematics by sponsoring activities of mathematical interest. These include talks targeted at math concentrators as well as at a more general audience. In particular, the DUG hosts events such as undergraduate seminars, undergraduate problem discussions, the SUMS conference, and a π Day celebration.
