Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Data Science
Brown University seeks candidates for several Post-Doctoral Fellowships in Data Science. These fellows will join a highly multidisciplinary team of Brown faculty, representing the Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics departments as well as a broad range of other disciplines. Fellows will have an appointment in one of four core departments (Applied Mathematics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, and Mathematics). They are expected to work on interdisciplinary data-science research that involves core departments and domain disciplines and be engaged in the research and educational projects of the emerging data science initiative at Brown. The appointments are for a two-year period and can begin as soon as possible. Depending on the core department they are affiliated with, Post-Doctoral Fellows may be required to teach up to one course per semester. Tamarkin Assistant Professor
One or more three-year non-tenured non-renewable appointments, beginning July 1, 2016. The teaching load is one course one semester, and two courses the other semester and consists of courses of more than routine interest. Candidates are required to have received a Ph.D. degree or equivalent by the start of their appointment, and they may have up to three years of prior academic and/or postdoctoral research experience.
Applicants should have strong research potential and a commitment to teaching. Field of research should be consonant with the current research interests of the department.
