Tom Banchoff with C.C. Beck, the artist who drew the Captain Marvel comic strip where young Billy Batson visits the science lab of the genius, Mr. Kiddin, and on seeing robot assistants working on the seventh, eighth and ninth and dimensions, wonders what happened to the fourth, fifth and sixth dimensions. Young Tom Banchoff, on reading the comic strip as a boy, wondered the same thing. The occasion was the dedication of the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersberg, Florida, in 1983.
