Although the score calls for a mike, an amplifier, and a speaker, this piece can be performed with only a table top and two hands. Beyond being an experiment in minimalist structure, this piece is also an experiment in improvisation. For those who are unfamiliar with improvisation, it means to extemporaneously create, in this case, patterns using those delineated by the score as the basis for the new patterns. Challenge: following with the theme of this site, try to make your patterns as symmetric as possible.
