Thomas Banchoff's Home Page

Thomas F. Banchoff is a geometer, a professor at Brown University since 1967.

For the academic year 2001-2, he is on sabbatical, teaching a course on The Fourth Dimendion at The Universtiy of Notre Dame, He can be reached though the usual email or at 219-631-5451. I For the months of January, February, and March 2002, he will be teaching Differential Geometry at UCLA.

He is working on a number of projects. His first set of web-based projects is preserved on his Geometry Center projects page.

He has a number of research-oriented publications, several expository articles, and some reviews. In addition, there have been articles about his work.

His course during spring 98 at Brown was Math 8, The Mathematical Way of Thinking. His undergraduate course for the fall semester 1997 was Math 35, the honors third semester calculus course, calculus of two (and more) variables.

During the fall semester of 1998, he will be on leave as the G. Leonard Baker Visiting Professor in the Mathematics Department of Yale University, teaching Math 195a.
