About Us

MathWiSE -- Basic Information

The Math Department's WiSE (Women in Science and Engineering) group was founded as both a community and a resource to encourage female undergraduates to pursue studies, and ultimately careers, in the mathematical sciences. Our events are open to all genders, concentrations, and class years (including grad students and professors).

Brown has a university-wide WiSE group, which has Affinity Groups for different areas of science. MathWiSE is Brown's Math and Applied Math Affinity Group.

To add yourself to the MathWiSE mailing list, please email us with your name, year of graduation (please note whether you are an undergrad, grad student, professor, or other), and major (or major you are thinking of). Please put mathWiSE somewhere in the subject of the e-mail.
