| You know in advance that you can't attend the class to hand in your homework, e.g. you have a doctor's appointment. | Pass on your homework to one of your classmates, so that they hand in your homework on due date. |
| You couldn't hand in your homework because of some unexpected situation, e.g. your dog ate your homework, you forgot the classroom number ... | It is exactly for this reason that two worst homework grades are dropped. |
| You are unable to do the homework and attend classes for months because of a long-lasting medical issue. | Discuss this situation with me. |
Policies regarding homework collaboration |

| You can discuss the homework problems with your classmates or seek any other help. However, write the solutions yourself ; you should consider a problem done only when you are sure that you can solve a similar one on an exam. | You are not allowed to ask your classmates to show/tell you their homework/midterm grades. Remember, your grade is your private information and you don't tell it to others. Keep your grade in private to avoid the unfriendly atmosphere of contest or other unpleasant situations. |

Policies regarding class attendance |

| You are to spend the classtime exclusively on Mathematics. If you are unable to do so (say, you need to prepare for another class, you want to use your laptop, you want to sleep, you have some other commitment) then don't attend the class. I don't take class attendance into account: you'd rather not attend the class than distract other students. | |
