Information about the Final Exam for Math 9.

Topics: The exam will be comprehensive. It may include problems on any topic we’ve covered during the semester. ________________________________________ Review for the final exam (UPDATED): Click for the PDF file. ________________________________________ Help: Samouil Molcho will have additional office hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:45am to 12:30pm (in Kassar 012). I will have additional office hours on Wednesday, December 8^th from 2pm to 5pm (in my office – Kassar 219). ________________________________________ Missing the exam: Recall that: “The Dean of the College is solely responsible for determining whether a student’s absence from a final examination is excused”. In case you can’t make it to the final you should do the following two things: 1. contact the Dean of College immediately and at the same time: 2. e-mail me immediately. ________________________________________ Additional time on the exam: This refers only to the students who have documentation from the DSS (Disability Support Services) that grants them additional time on the exam. You will need to start writing the final earlier than others. I will send you an e-mail before the exam with a time and place when you can come and start working on the final.

This is done because the exam is taken by some 200 students and works with no name will be impossible to restore. So hand in the exam directly to me. _______________________________________ Questions: If you have a question about the problems on the final then raise your hand at any time during the exam. Someone will come and help you. ________________________________________ No Calculators: No calculators are allowed during the exam. ________________________________________ No Notes: The exam is ‘closed book’, so no books, notes or cheat-sheets are allowed during the exam.
