Point Plotting Method

Step 3: Calculate the function's zeros, as well as some convenient values of x like x = 0, 1, -1...

Step 4: Plot these points and interpolate the curve given your knowledge of other similar curves.

Although this method is good when sketching, in order to get a perfectly accurate curve you must plot infinitely many points. However, if we pick our x values properly, we may get a fairly accurate curve very quickly. As you will see, this is the principle we will be using to graph higher dimensional functions so we can avoid spending hours on each one.
