Interactive Versions of the Central Cone

There are two Java-based interactive versions of the object that is at the center of the poster. Each of them requires you to have a Java-capable browser, and to have Java enabled. See the documentation for your browser to see how to enable Java.

Interactive applets and instructions for them are available for:

A version of the central cone that uses the LiveGraphics3D applet and the Mathematica data that was used to print the image that appears in the printed poster. The applet lets you rotate the cone to view it from any angle. Instructions are included on the page linked to the image at the left.

A version of the central cone using a parametric-graphics applet developed at Brown University. The applet can let you change the parameters of the equations and see the results. Instructions are included on the page linked to the image on the left.

This applet lets you see the dimensional cone as it is built up from its various parts. As the animation progresses, each section of the cone in turn "stretches out" to connect to the next dimension. Instructions are included on the page linked to the image on the left.

This version of the applet shows the slices of the dimensional cone at various locations along the central axis of the cone. As the animation progresses, the slices increas in dimension from points, to lines, to disks. Instructions are included on the page linked to the image on the left.
