Most of my questions about Flatland will be addressed in class regarding satire and social context but I had one nitpicky question. I didn't understand how they could tell their directions by the rain. How does rain fall in a two dimensional world. Where does it come from? Do they have the same meteorology that we do?
Also, there exists a book called Sphereland. When you go to the library and type up subject=flatland in the Josiah terminal, this book comes up. Have you read it? Do you recommend it? It is by Dionys Burger. Thanks.
