All of the polyhedral principles that we have discussed thus far, specifically slicing, duality, and fold-outs, come into play within the discussion of solids known as semi-regular polyhedra. Semi-regular polyhedra deviate from regular polyhedr a in that they are composed of more than one type of regular cell.
