As a course in mathematics for non-concentrators, this course aims at presenting a large number of situations in which mathematics plays a role, with the intention of making students aware of the role of matheamatics and giving them some confidence to see how mathematical way of approaching different subjects can lead to new insights. The goal is to give students confidence that they can apply these insights in new situations, specifically in a major project that they carry out in groups, for general presentation at the end of the course. |
