\\ Grading

There will be a substantial homework assignment after every Thursday class, due online Sunday evening. Frequently there will be a shorter assignment after the Tuesday class, due Wednesday evening. Responding to assignments is the primary way to learn the material in the course, and there will be timely comments on all work. There will be two midterm examinations and a final examination, all of which will be graded. The ultimate grade in the course will be determined by the grades in the tests and the effort put into the assignments and the online discussions.
