Mixing and rational points of bounded height

Abstract: In the late eighties, Manin made a conjecture on the asymptotics of rational points of bounded height for Fano varieties. We will talk about a recent joint work with Gorodnik and Maucourant which proves Manin's conjecture for the wonderful compactification of a simple adjoint group defined over a number field K.
