Text: Larsen and Marx, An Introduction to Mathematical Statistics and its Appl., 5th ed.

Course outline: Topics include Estimation, Hypothesis testing, inferences, goodness-of-fit, regression. We will cover most of the material in chapters 5-11, and, time depending some material of the remaining chapters.


Midterm I: Thursday Feb 21, in class

No notes, texts, calculators allowed.

There will be homeworks collected weekly and two midterms. The final grade will be weighted as follows: Homework 35%, midterms 15%+15%, final 35%.


Homework:

Late homework will not be accepted. The lowest homework grade will be dropped.
