Critical phenomena in exponential random graphs

Mei Yin (Brown University)

Abstract :

We review recent developments in the study of exponential random graph models and concentrate on the critical phenomena associated with phase transitions. Main emphasis of the talk will be on exponential models with attraction.

Part of this talk is based on joint work with Charles Radin.

There will be a continuation of this talk, given at the probability seminar a week later, whose main emphasis will be on exponential models with repulsion.
