Edwin Abbott, Father of Edwin Abbott Abbott

Edwin Abbott, the father of Edwin Abbott Abbott, became headmaster of the Philological School, Marylebone, London at the age of 19. He is the author of the Concordance of the Works of Alexander Pope, for which his son, by this time himself a headmaster, wrote the introduction.
