Figure-8 Klein Bottle

The Klein bottle can be immersed in three-space in two distinct ways. One is the standard "tube-through-a-tube" immersion shown in Klein Bottle, which has a reflective symmetry. Another immersion is formed by a figure-8 curve that moves around a circle while spinning by 180 degrees. This version has an axis of two-fold rotational symmetry (from lower left to upper right in this image). Here, the surface is banded so that the figure-8 curves are more easily seen.
