Exponential TetraviewThe tetraview for the exponential function is the most interesting of the three that appeared in Surfaces Beyond the Third Dimension. The inverse relation is the complex logarithm, and the connection between the two is not easy to see. The rotations along the edges of the tetrahedron can be very helpful in understanding this surface. The central image incorporates properties from all four of the other views, giving some sense of how these really are four different views of the same surface. The tetraview as a means of understanding complex function graphs is the subject of an unfinished multi-media article originally intended for Communications in Visual Mathematics.
