Ann Cary
Ann Cary '00 researched and wrote two chapters for the Islamic Art webpage, one about the Symmetry and Geometry of Islamic Art and one about Dimensionality. Ann is a Religious Studies concentrator, with interests in women and society, artistic and cultural expression, and the role of religion in individual lives and world politics. In 1999 she studied abroad in Israel and Palestine, where she fell in love with the desert and began a fascination with Islamic Art. She makes costumes, embroiders, and listens to records in her spare time. She enjoys flying, water-skiing, and dancing. Chickens are her favorite animal.
