Spindle Torus This image from Beyond the Third Dimension represents a "spindle torus"; if we form a torus of revolution by rotating a circle around an axis, we obtain a spindle torus if the axis of rotation intersects the circle. In this image, the front of the torus is removed so that you can see the central "spindle".
