Paul Kinlaw '04
Paul took interactive courses in differential geometry and linear algebra
with Banchoff during his freshman year. He currently is taking
non-Euclidean geometry. Paul worked with Craig Desjardins, Ryan Roth, Ryan
Roark and David Eigen on software for
multivariable calculus and differential geometry.
Paul sends the following message:
I worked on differential geometry for professor Banchoff during the summer
of '01, and I have a funny memory of him asking me to compile a list of
those who attended the 85th birthday party of Edwin Abbott
Abbott, author of Flatland, which is his favorite book. We later
discussed some connections between Flatland and Shakespeare's play "The
Tempest".
